Easy scheduling, exceptional care. I am always thrilled with the outcome of my eye appointments with Dr. Roggy. Love the new office location in Coralville! Same great service, fabulous frames.

Dr. Roggy has given my family (4 in total) excellent care in our time here in Iowa. She caught a focusing issue (convergence) in my eyes, and the recommended treatment stopped headaches and fatigue as soon as I got my new glasses. At the midway point of the year, I experienced a vision shift, and was worked in immediately to adjust my prescription, at no cost to me. Dr. Roggy took time off her lunch to diagnose me and provide options for me to consider.

Dr. Roggy combines top-notch professional service with kind and upbeat relationship with clients. Each staff member with whom I have worked has been dependable and considerate. Moreover, when I needed emergency treatment in the past few years, Dr. Roggy and her staff couldn't have been more helpful and considerate. It is without reservation that I give Roggy Eye Clinic my highest recommendation.

I visited the clinic for the first time and I had a great experience. Not only they have a beautiful waiting area but most importantly, Dr. Roggy is excellent and made me feel really comfortable. She answered my questions and made sure she explained every detail about my eye exam process. I've been to other eye clinics before and never had such great attention.

Dr. Roggy and staff were excellent! The appointment was stress-free, laid back, and quick. She made sure I was comfortable with her decisions and even was happy to explain any question I had. I have dry eye and one reason is that my eyes do not fully close at night. I decided to try the Trilift treatments and now my eyes are so much better. Before the treatments, I  would wake up overnight with dry and uncomfortable eyes and would have to use eye drops for some relief. Now, my eyes close tighter at night and I don’t need those night time drops, nor do my eyes feel achy in the morning.  The Trilift treatments helped my eyes. 

Thanks to Dr. Roggy I’ve been able to continue wearing contacts even though I have Dry Eye Disease. Her advanced evaluation tools and treatment methods have improved the amount of moisture barrier protecting my eyes and healed lesions that were beginning to form. Have you ever needed to find a new eye care provider and wondered where to start? With a long vision history behind me, I found myself looking for a new provider as mine retired in 2020 (ironic, right?). My husband suggested an old family friend whose office was in Coralville.


When I first met Dr. Roggy, my goal was to make sure she knew all the things that went into play with my vision. By then I had undergone refractive surgery, repair of a torn retina, and both cataracts done. I needed ongoing vision support as well as advice on what to do with a newly developing lazy eye. 

Because of her history and dealing with athletes and others with eyes that don’t like to “work together” she was able to diagnose esotropia and refer me on for vision therapy. While vision therapy isn’t always the-go to treatment for this condition (surgery is often considered), my eyes were not tolerating physical procedures, so I was avoiding more surgery at all costs. 

I returned to her a few months later for follow-up after the vision therapy with great improvements noted. I am grateful that she listened to my concerns, had colleagues in place that could deal with my level of dysfunction, and could objectively follow up with measures that are clinically significant. Subjectively, I was able to drive without seeing two roads, read a book more efficiently, and most importantly - the vertigo I was experiencing for over 2  years went away during the first month of treatment.

Fast forward to my most recent success. My eyes have been dry for about 20 years and reporting it to my previous eye care providers did not result in any recommendations that helped. My eyes were drier than they even had been this past summer. I was blinking all the time and it felt like there was sand between my eyes and eyelids. When I saw Dr. Roggy for my annual eye exam, I asked her about it. She provided education on what works to successfully improve the dryness - and gave me a couple weeks to think on it. Once again, it would be a commitment on my part.  Since then, we have treated dry eye with success. My follow-up with her showed dramatic improvements to the areas of breakdown on my cornea and other things she checks in the clinic. I also notice less dryness and the feeling of sand between my eyes and eyelids is gone. I am no longer blinking all the time. 

Both of these treatments take a team effort. You get out of it what you put into it. Dr. Roggy knows what recommendations to make. She does her part. And your success depends on you. For my husband that means getting his vision checked annually to assure his diabetes is not affecting his eyes. For my son that means swapping out glasses between athletics and studies to halt or slow the progression of his nearsightedness. For me that meant exercises for my eyes a couple of years ago. And follow-through with recommendations for dry eyes.
